Pre-Conference field Trip, Registration, and social mixer

  • Pre-Conference Field Trip to Texas Institute for Coastal Prairie Research and Education

    • Bus departs University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) at 1:45 pm

    • Field trip from 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

  • Conference registration commences at 4:00 pm at UHCL

  • Social Mixer from 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm in UHCL Bayou Building, Atrium II

    • Meet and socialize with other NAPC attendees at this informal gathering. Welcome address by local prairie educator and conservationist, Jaime González of The Nature Conservancy in Texas and Coastal Prairie Partnership

    • Field trips will shuttle guests to either UHCL or directly to Armand Bayou Nature Center for dinner (see below)

  • Barbecue Dinner from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

    • BBQ served at 5:30 pm

    • Featured speaker: Dr. Dwayne Estes, Southeast Grasslands Initiative from 6:30 pm - 7:10 pm
